Part-time or PRN Registered Nurse
The Nicol Home is seeking skilled Certified RN Charge Nurses for open night or day shift hours to act as RN coverage when needed. Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Recognize and deal with immediate needs of each resident in accordance with their plan of care and prescribed policies and procedures of the facility

Ensures that all safety and infection control practices are followed
-
Distributes and documents medications according to established standards and regulations
-
Supervises the nursing assistants on duty
-
Responds to emergency situations
-
Communicates with residents, families and physicians efficiently and quickly
-
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
-
Make physical rounds at the beginning and end of each shift with oncoming shift
The Nicol Home operates 24-hours-a-day and 7-days-per-week. We utilize different shifts within 24 hours, with an overlap in the shift start/end times for communication between shifts. Ideal candidates have current and unencumbered license as an RN in this state, certification in CPR/AED/First-Aid, and at least two years of nursing experience, preferably in a long-term care setting or assisted living community.

Part Time Evening/Day Shift CNA/CMA
The Nicol Home is seeking skilled Certified Nurse Aides or Certified Medication Aides for open night or evening shift hours. Evening shift is typically 2pm to 10pm and night shift is typically from 6pm to 6am. Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Recognize and deal with immediate needs of each resident in accordance with their plan of care and prescribed policies and procedures of the facility

Answering Resident requests for assistance in a timely fashion

Familiar with a long-term care setting, or desire to work in long-term care

Communicates with residents, families and supervisors efficiently and quickly

Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills

Making rounds to check in on all residents, offering assistance with cares when needed
-
Assisting in other various tasks asked of them by a charge nurse or superior

Part Time Cook
The Nicol Home is seeking skilled dietary staff members to cook for both morning and evening shift meals as able. Morning shift is typically 6am to 1pm and night shift is typically from 12pm to 8pm. Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Serve appropriate meals to residents in a timely fashion based on recipes provided from supervisor

Learn proper diet orders; such as mechanical soft or puree

Provide residents with alternatives that are quick meals if needed; Burger, Grilled Cheese, etc.

Clean dishes after meals, and workspaces, in addition to mopping the dining room floor
-
Communicate with others about concerns during mealtimes appropriately

Must be able to work independently

Part Time Housekeeper & Laundry
The Nicol Home is seeking skilled housekeeper and laundry staff member to cook for both morning and evening shift meals as able. Scheduling is flexible, during regular business working hours and over regular weekend rotations. Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Needs a basic understanding of the proper cleaning standards, and to identify unkept areas easily

Be familiar with a steam cleaner, vacuum, laundry equipment, and other cleaning supplies
-
Must be prompt and timely in showing up for working shifts
-
Cleans certain areas on daily, weekly and monthly schedules
-
Reports to Nursing, Maintenance, and Business Managers with Bi-Weekly reporting meetings
-
Must be able to work independently
